What we send, and to whom

Car Show HQ sends text messages for one purpose: internal operational alerts to Car Show HQ's own personnel. When a prospective customer submits an account request on our website, the platform sends a short notification text to the business owner so the request can be reviewed promptly.

Registrants, voters, organizers, and other end users of the platform never receive text messages from us. Phone numbers collected on our forms are contact information for the purposes stated on those forms; they are never enrolled in text messaging.

How recipients consent

Recipients are Car Show HQ personnel only. Each recipient opts in directly before their number is configured, using the verbal consent script below; the affirmative response is then recorded in writing using the consent statement that follows it.

Verbal consent script

The following is read to the recipient, word for word, before their number is added:

"You are adding your mobile number to receive Car Show HQ operational alert text messages, such as a notification when a new account request is submitted on the platform. Message frequency varies with platform activity. Message and data rates may apply. You can reply STOP at any time to stop receiving these messages, or reply HELP for help. Do you consent to receive these text messages at this number?"

Alerts are enabled only after an affirmative response. A non-affirmative response ends the process and the number is not configured.

Written confirmation

The recorded written consent statement is:

"I authorize Car Show HQ to send operational alert text messages (such as new account request notifications) to my mobile number. I understand message frequency varies with platform activity, message and data rates may apply, and I can stop these messages at any time by replying STOP or by removing my number from the platform's configuration."

The recipient's number is configured privately in the platform's server settings by the business owner. No end user of the website can add a phone number to this alert list.
